You’ve already spent a lot of time and energy recording your new music. Why not add some Memphis style analog magic?
Send us your tracks and our engineers will add natural sounding analog warmth, clarity and punch to the your mix. Every instrument will flow through the all-discrete circuitry of a world class API analog mixing desk. Our experienced engineers will listen and carefully enhance individual tracks with rich sounding EQ, vacuum tube compression, and world class outboard gear such as a vintage EMT tube plate reverb. You can then choose to have your final mix delivered in the highest resolution digital file or on magnetic tape.

Let us free your mix from “The Box” and let it flow through the all-discrete circuitry of our API analog console with 48 dual channels (96 mix faders).
No wimpy integrated or digital circuits to strip the “hair” off of your tracks in this premier mixing desk. Every bit of audio has its own discrete path through the console. Along with all of the API’s analog goodness, its faders and switches are fully automated, making recalls infinitely easier. And the API mixing desk is filled with “fat” sounding transformers. You won’t find those in a DAW.
And the analog warmth doesn’t stop with the API desk. We have a variety of classic analog outboard gear to add more juice, like the Analogue Tube AT-101 compressor/limiter, the most faithful recreation of the legendary Fairchild 670 compressor. If you like the warm, rich tone of the classics, you will love this compressor. Packed with 24 vacuum tubes, it glows as it squeezes your mix until it jumps out of our Manley ML 10 monitors.
Digital reverb plugins? We have it all. But perhaps you’ll like your tracks more after they’ve been injected into the steel plate of our vintage EMT 140 tube plate reverb unit. Or you may prefer the classic steel spring in our vintage AKG BX20e spring reverb. “Memphis Style” analog compression is added with our Urei 1176s, LA4s, Neve, SSL and API compressors. Your ears will appreciate the sound of the API’s 550 L EQ and, for that final touch, we can add the GML 8200 parametric EQ on the stereo bus.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Mixing?
Mixing is the combining of all the elements of a song by balancing, panning, and equalizing the different tracks. The goal is to create the best possible listening experience while bringing forth the message and feeling of the song.
Will my song be mixed “in the box”?
No way! Your tracks will be mixed through our API analog console along with the necessary analog outboard gear. We’ll be adding a lot of “Iron” to the tracks.
Can my song be transferred to tape to get that warm analogue sound?
Yes. For an added fee of $75, we will print your tracks to our Studer A827 2" machine and get that great tape saturation on your mix.
Will my song(s) be mastered?
Mastering is available for an extra charge:
$75 per track
$25 per additional track with the same settings (vocal, instrumental)
$10 per reference CD
Can I choose my engineer?
Your engineer will be assigned based on the type of recording and availability. If you are absolutely in love with one of our engineer’s work, let us know, and we will do our best to get them on board for your mix.
